Jet Ski Rental Checklist
Don't forget a thing. Here's everything you need to bring for the perfect day on the water.
Heading out for a jet ski adventure? Use this checklist to make sure you have everything you need. We provide the jet ski, life jackets, and safety equipment. Every ski leaves our shop with a full tank of gas; just bring it back full. You bring yourself and a few essentials.
Required Documents
- Valid driver's license or state ID (renters must be 21+)
- Credit card for the $500 refundable security deposit
- Booking confirmation (on phone is fine)
- Proof of insurance (optional)
What to Wear
- Swimsuit or quick-dry clothing
- Water shoes or sandals with straps
- Sunglasses with strap (Croakies)
- Hat or visor (optional)
- Change of clothes for after
Sun Protection
- Reef-safe sunscreen (SPF 30+)
- Lip balm with SPF
- Rash guard or long-sleeve shirt
- Reapply sunscreen every 2 hours!
Food & Hydration
- Plenty of water (minimum 1 gallon/person)
- Sports drinks for electrolytes
- Snacks or packed lunch
- Cooler to keep everything cold
Helpful Extras
- Waterproof phone case or dry bag
- Towels (beach and quick-dry)
- Waterproof camera or GoPro
- Cash for parking/marina fees
- First aid kit
Vehicle & Towing
- Vehicle with proper towing capacity
- Trailer hitch and ball mount
- Trailer lights connected and working
- Ratchet straps (we provide some)
- No truck? Rent a U-Haul pickup; we reimburse the roughly $20 truck cost on 4-hour and 8-hour rentals
Know Before You Book
Straight answers on rates, ages, fuel, and cancellations.
Fuel
Goes out full, comes back full. You only pay for the fuel you use.
Ages
Renters must be 21+. Operators 16+ with a 21+ renter on site.
Cancellation
Cancel 48 hours or more before pickup for a full refund. Inside 48 hours, bookings are non-refundable.
Deposit
A $500 refundable security deposit is required on every rental.
Holiday rentals carry a 20% surcharge. Weather cancellations on our end always mean a full refund or free reschedule. Full details on the pricing page.
Pro Tips
Arrive Early
Get to the lake early (before 9am) for calm water, easier parking, and the best conditions. Plus, you'll beat the Arizona heat.
Sunscreen Strategy
Apply sunscreen 30 minutes before getting on the water, then reapply every 2 hours. Water reflection intensifies UV exposure.
Stay Hydrated
Arizona sun is no joke. Drink water constantly, even if you don't feel thirsty. Bring more water than you think you need.
Protect Electronics
Use a waterproof case or dry bag for your phone and keys. One splash can ruin your day (and your phone).
